Fayette County Solicitor-General Presents Check to Fayette Youth Protection Homes

Fayette County Solicitor-General James K. Inagawa and his staff recently held their second annual charity yard sale. Inagawa held the sale in conjunction with National Crime Victims’ Rights Week and Child Abuse Prevention Month. All the proceeds of this year’s sale were donated to Fayette Youth Protection Homes, a local organization committed to assisting the youngest victims of abuse.

Letter From Solicitor-General James Inagawa

Over the past four years it has been my privilege to serve as Solicitor-General of Fayette County.

Aided by my hard-working staff, I have accomplished much during my tenure in office.  I have built an impressive conviction rate and developed strong bonds with law enforcement throughout the county.  To make our community safer, I have cracked down on drunk drivers and domestic violence offenders.  I have even added an investigator to my staff to ensure a speedy prosecution of all cases.

Although my primary duty as Solicitor is to serve Fayette County, I feel strongly that my staff and I should also give back to the community.  Within the past year alone, my office has raised over $5,000 to aid local charities.  We have raised funds for organizations like Promise Place, our local domestic violence shelter.  I am also particularly proud of our efforts to help Fayette Youth Protection Homes in their mission to assist the youngest victims of crime in our community.  Just recently, my office presented this organization with a check for over $2,000 as a direct result of our fundraising efforts.

I will continue to work night and day to protect our roads from drunk drivers, to punish domestic violence offenders, and to ensure a safe community for all of us.  I look forward to serving Fayette County for another four years.  Let's continue to build a better Fayette County, for my family and for yours.

–James Inagawa
